Police Tracking Harness

This traditional leather 'Tracking Harness' has been crafted entirely by hand from approximately 10 feet of the finest English bridle leather.

Each strap measures 1 inch in width and unlike ' saddle style' harnesses, where the chest strap can restrict full shoulder movement,  this style of harness allows for complete, free shoulder movement when a tracking dog is in it's stride at the end of the line. 

The back and chest straps are hand stitched in a yellow thread to compliment the solid brass buckles and D ring. Alternatively a subtle black thread can also be used, depending on individual preference.

Solid copper saddler's rivets are used to ensure that the buckles are held firmly in place and to also allow a degree of flexibiliity around the girth straps. These rivets will not pop open like cheaper 'cap rivets'. They have to be drilled out to remove them!

This harness is favoured by Police, Military and professional Security dog handlers who demand a hard wearing, strong and long lasting piece of equipment. To be effective it must be comfortable for their dogs to wear and pull against, it must allow free movement and it must provide the handler with maximum 'feedback' when attached to a tracking line.

These harnesses will regularly take a pretty good pounding and will still be up for more.

Available in 'Dark Havanna', 'Australian Nut' or Black bridle leather, with a choice of black or contrasting yellow stitching.

ON ORDERING, PLEASE INCLUDE THE GIRTH OF YOUR DOG AND ALSO A NECK SIZE, TO ENSURE A CORRECT FIT. THE GIRTH MEASUREMENT CAN BE TAKEN AROUND THE DOG'S LOWER RIB AREA, AND THE NECK SIZE TAKEN FROM WHERE THE COLLAR USUALLY SITS.
